The 2009 season for the Patriots will mark their 50th Anniversary as a Professional Franchise and 40th Season in the National Football League which marks the return of Quarterback Tom Brady who sustained a season ending injury in game one of the 2008 season in which he tore both his ACL and his MCL ending his streak of 111 consecutive starts.
With the signing of WR Joey Galloway along side WR Wes Welker, Brady will not have a lack of receivers to hit. The running game should also prove to be useful as the team picked up former Jacksonville Jaguar RB Fred Thomas to back up Sammy Morris, Kevin Faulk and Laurence Maroney.
